The Taste of Future Europe

What will the future of Europe taste like? This was the subject of the event The Taste of Future Europe, which Katja Gruijters developed for AEBR (Association of European Border Regions)’s Annual Conference on 21 October. The event took place in the historic Eusebius’ Church in Arnhem, and was hosted by the Gelderland Province.

The Taste of Future Europe highlighted 6 European border regions. Each with their specific ingredients, food rituals, flavours and cooking techniques. Participants discussed how we can use our cultural heritage, strengths and unique ingredients as a starting point for innovation and food transition. Towards a healthier, plant-based diet with local and seasonal food and zero waste. There is a world to gain… and to taste!
