How will we eat in 2030? What are the ingredients of the future? This is what we explored during the master class Freezing Future Food Design at the SPD Scuola Politecnica Di Design in Milan.
During this intensive week in May 2023, master students from the Food Design course developed new concepts for Italian company Alpeker, which specialises in frozen food innovations.
The central questions were: why should we need or even prefer frozen food? And where lie unexplored opportunities? The students conducted practical and content-based research with natural ingredients, various packaging and, of course, a freezer to answer these questions. Using a rough prototype, they came up with interesting concepts.
This fantastic group of creative and enthusiastic students of all nationalities and backgrounds really surprised us with their teamwork and excellent results. Well done!
