After enjoying the summer holidays, Studio Katja Gruijters is now setting course towards autumn. Katja’s food design studio is situated by a national park, a constant source of inspiration. By observing nature carefully, becoming still and part of the forest as a system, we’re able to better understand who we are and what we can learn about the networks and circularity between plants and animals. How can we use this for innovation?
Katja becomes inspired by zooming in and out onto her back garden: the woods and fields. She applies this inspiration for businesses and organisations interested in sustainability.
Katja has honed her intuition and specialises in food forecasting, concept development and interactive workshops. With her studio, she focuses on preventing and decreasing food wastage and obesity, and giving an identity to new plant-based ingredients.
